How to Find Contact Form Submissions in Squarespace
If you've set up a contact form on your Squarespace website, keeping track of incoming messages is crucial for maintaining good communication with your visitors. Squarespace makes it easy to find, view, and manage these submissions. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to access your contact form submissions:
Step 1: Log in to Your Squarespace Account
First, log in to your Squarespace account using your email and password. Once you're logged in, navigate to the website where your contact form is located.
Step 2: Access Your Website Dashboard
After logging in, you'll be directed to your Squarespace dashboard. From there, select the website you want to manage by clicking on its thumbnail or name.
Step 3: Navigate to the Pages Panel
In the left-hand menu, click on the Pages option. This will take you to a list of the different pages that make up your site.
Step 4: Find the Contact Page
Scroll through the list of pages to find the one where you placed your contact form (e.g., "Contact" or "Get in Touch"). Click on that page to open its settings.
Step 5: Open the Form Block Settings
Once you're on the contact page, locate the contact form. Hover over the form and click the pencil icon that appears on the form block to edit it.
Step 6: Access Form Submissions
In the form block editor, click on the Storage tab. This is where you'll find the different storage options (email, Google Drive, Mailchimp, etc.) where your form submissions are being saved.
Email: If you’ve set up an email address to receive form submissions, check your inbox for new messages.
Google Sheets: If your submissions are being sent to a Google spreadsheet, click on the link to view the submissions in your Google Drive.
Squarespace: If you're saving submissions directly in Squarespace, click the View Form Submissions link. This will take you to a page where you can see all the submissions right in the dashboard.
Step 7: Manage Submissions
Once you're viewing the submissions, you can:
Review each submission
Mark submissions as read or unread
Download submissions as a CSV file for easy record-keeping
Step 8: Set Up Notifications
To ensure you don’t miss a submission, make sure you've set up notifications. In the Storage tab, double-check that the email addresses entered are correct and that notifications are being delivered to the right inbox.
